The Inn was constructed by John
Taylow, architect, and one of the original signers
of The Declaration of Independence. In the 1800's
it served as the home of the Mayor of Fredericksburg,
Richard Johnston The Richard Johnston Inn still
reflects the charm and grace of a past era, while
providing all of the amenities of today for the
comfort of our guests.
Chosen in 2005 by Southern Living Readers Choice
Awards as one of "The Best Bed & Breakfasts
in The South"
Awarded by Arrington's Inn Traveler magazine
in 2005 as One of the Best Inns in the
